Eyelash extensions normally last between 4 to 6 weeks, their longevity depends on the aftercare and also on each individual person.
It is advisable to get an infill every 2 to 3 weeks.
You won’t need to wear any mascara with your extensions, as they will naturally look amazing. It is not recommended to wear mascara with the eyelash extensions. You can, however, wear your normal foundation, eye shadow, and eyeliner. Just make sure you use oil-free makeup around your eyes and you clean your lashes daily.
Yes, you can wear contact lenses with your eyelash extensions. We will ask you to remove them for the duration of the treatment but you can wear them straight after.
When you see some of your eyelashes come out, don’t worry, this is a natural process. Our bodies lose from 2 - 5 eyelashes per day, we just don’t notice it as much when we don’t have our eyelash extensions on. Every lash is at a different stage of growth and the usual lash growth cycle is approximately 3 months. Regular infills will solve everything.
Try gently cleansing your lashes with an oil-free makeup remover and lint-free applicators and bathe your lashes. If this does not help, you may need to contact your eyelash technician who will be able to assist you with bringing your lashes back to their normal glamorous state.
Contact your stylist who will be happy to remove the extensions for you. It is a short and pain-free procedure in a comfortable environment.
If you have a reaction to your eyelash extensions you should immediately contact your lash stylist who will arrange an appointment to meet with you as soon as possible and will remove the extensions for you. The allergic reaction can still happen even though you had a patch test or wore lashes before. Sometimes our bodies become sensitive to certain ingredients in the lash adhesive and react in an allergic way.
Due to health and safety and also our best practice code of conduct we do not lash pregnant ladies. We know it is sad news for those of you who are awaiting their beautiful babies, however, we want to keep you and your tiny treasures safe. Therefore as soon as the bundle of joy is out in the world, let us know and we will arrange an appointment for you to get those stunning lashes applied.
Eyelash extensions are not advisable after chemotherapy, because usually, the eyelashes are very fine and weak, please wait at least 6 months to ensure your body has started the recovery process. Every person is different and it is always better to check with a qualified lash stylist who will be able to advise you. If someone had eyelash extensions before and experienced a severe allergic reaction, they would not be advised to have extensions done. Anyone with glaucoma and cataracts will unfortunately not be able to have the extensions applied, however we do offer a lash lift treatment, ask our lash stylist for more information.
